Funky's Anti School Board Saga Continues 7-31-99 I don't like where I think Funky is going. Asking students to Pit their teachers against the School Board is no contest. Les Moore seems to think that the kids won't care but its easy to predict that the children in his school will soon rise to the defense of the teachers against the evil School Board. The cartoonist, Batiuk, may not realize that most school board members are parents too. I wonder if he'd ever draw a cartoon about a student coming home in tears to her parent, a member of the school board, because her teachers had riled up her classmates against the stupidity of the school board? That's been one of my experiences as a school board member.
